Bienvenüe COFUND
Coordinated by Région Bretagne and in collaboration with 8 research institutions, the COFUND programme Bienvenüe « Welcoming highly-talented international post-docs in Brittany » has led to recruitment of 81 postdoctoral fellows in Breton labs. Implemented since 2020, the programme is co-funded by the European Union through the Horizon 2020 framework programme.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 899546.

The partners
The partners of the Bienvenüe COFUND programme are Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, IMT Atlantique, Inria, University of Western Brittany, University of South Brittany, University of Rennes, Université Rennes 2, Sorbonne University/Roscoff Marine Station. They are hosting Bienvenüe COFUND recruited fellows. Bretagne Développement Innovation (BDI) is supporting fellows in developing collaborations with socio-economic actors.
Types of funded projects
All funded projects are contributing to Région Bretagne RIS’ 3, with the following repartition:
- 33% projects contributing to Maritime economy for blue growth
- 21% projects contributing to Health and welfare economy for a better quality of life
- 15% projects contributing to Food economy for everyone to eat well
- 15% projects contributing to Economics of industry for intelligent production
- 12% projects contributing to Secure and responsible digital economy
- 4% projects are contributing first to Transitions
