Bienvenüe Grants
The Bienvenüe programme aims at reinforcing excellence of Breton research on the long-term, boosting visibility and attractivity of Brittany in its key research and innovation areas, and at helping the implementation of the regional strategy for research and innovation.
The objectives of the Bienvenüe programme are the following:
- recruit highly-talented international researchers in Breton laboratories
- offer conditions to researchers to settle in Brittany on the long-term
- increase visibility and attractivity of Breton research at the European and international levels.
The Bienvenüe programme supports recruitment in Brittany of highly-talented internatinal researchers for 12 – 24 month research projects.
The programme consists of three complementary pillars, that differ on:
- Amount of financial support, between 75% and 90% of salary costs of the recruited postdoctoral fellow, and for Bienvenüe Seal of Excellence, funding of research costs.
- Aplication logics, by the supervisor (Bienvenüe Bretagne) or the postdoctoral candidate (Seal of Excellence, COFUND) to stimulate excellence of Breton research.
In all cases, funded projects are selected on the basis of scientific excellence, demonstrated by an independent scientific evaluation, and impact of the research project for Brittany.
Bienvenüe Bretagne
Recruitment of highly-talented international postdoctoral fellows for research project of 18 to 24 months. Research projects are submitted by the supervisors and are usually part of the scientific strategies of Breton laboratories.
Bienvenüe Seal of Excellence
Région Bretagne, using ERDF 2021 – 2027 fund, is giving a additionnal funding opportunity to Breton candidates to MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships calls when they receive a “Seal of Excellence”
Bienvenüe COFUND
Recruitment of highly-talentd international postdoctoral fellows for 24-month projects. Research projects are submitted by post-doc candidates (in bottom-up). They fit into scientific strategies of Breton laboratories or be on the edge in order to develop innovative projects or research on little explored areas.
