Setting up a project, finding funding sources
Plateforme projets européens (2PE) is an integrated regional service for support and participation of Breton researchers to European framework programmes dedicated to research and innovation (Horizon Europe) and training (Erasmus+). The team support researchers in defining and submission of proposals to diverse calls such as MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships or ERC Grants.
The Euraxess search engine, from the portal dedicated to researchers by the European Commission, is listing job offers from all EU-funded projects, but also from other diverse funding sources. https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs

Settling, living in Brittany
The mission of the Centres for International Mobility (CMI) in Brest and in Rennes is to welcome and support incoming international students and researchers, hosted by the CMI members, and to help them with their administrative procedures to settle and live in France.
The CMI are closely collaborating with the Préfectures to guide and help through the visa procedures. The CMI are also Career Development Centres for early researchers and regularly offer training sessions.
CMI services are free of charge for incoming international students and researchers.

Euraxess France network is providing guidance to incoming researchers and their families. The CMI in Brest and in Rennes are part of the Euraxess Frane network.
The Euraxess France website is a goldmine of information regarding visas, work law, taxation, or social security in France.
Campus France website, French Agency for the promotion of higher education, international student services, and international mobility, is also full of resources about settling in France, such as tutorials to open a bank account or register for social security.
The Marie Curie Alumni Association includes a France Chapter, which regurlarly organizes networking events, career development seminars and more.
