Climate change is a global challenge and Britany’s ambition is to make a society more resilient to it. The transversal axis on transitions of our strategy aims to support and federate projects on two systemical aspects:

  • Climate and ecological transitions, with a focus on adaptation, attenuation and decarbonation, circular economy, low-tech innovation, water and biodiversity
  • Social cohesion and inclusion.

 

Focus on the IRIS-E project

Driven by the University of Rennes and 20 partners, including Région Bretagne, the project “Interdisciplinary Research and Innovative Solutions for Environmental transition” aims to collectively build innovative and participative solutions for environmental transitions.

IRIS-E is particularly focusing on interdisciplinarity, in order to facilitate the emergence of new ways to raise issues and to build knowledge, and on co-construcion with all actors. The project, ambitious by its will to prioritize projects elading to systemic transofrmation, includes a Participatory Science Hub, a Reseach and Innovation Programme and a Course Transformation Programme.
