Dr Trinetra Mukherjee, one of the 2021 BIENVENÜE fellow, is receiving for the second time a FEMS (Federation of European Microbiological Societies) early career research fellowship to attend and present at the conference for an amount of €750, the highest amount possible.

In the 16th International Congress Thermophiles 2023 held from 29.08.2023 to 02.09.2023 in Bangor, North Wales she gave a talk on her topic “Protease production as a possible mechanism of polypeptide degradation for amino acid acquirement by deep sea piezophile under high-pressure conditions”.

As one of the biggest conference about thermophiles, this a real great opportunity for Dr. Trinetra Mukherjee on several levels. It was an opportunity to gather knowledge, to network in particular by exchanging with the greatest experts in her research field present at the conference but also to present the unique work done in their laboratory on hyperthermophilic piezophiles.
